Justin Dutraive Beaujolais Villages Les Tours 2022

Born and raised in Beaujolais, Justin Dutraive has Gamay coursing through his veins at this point. After years of working at his family’s domaine, he ventured out in 2015 to create his own label and with the help of his father he was able to secure some remarkable vines.

Justin's wines are ethereal and playful, crunchy and fresh. Like his father, he farms organically and believes in minimal intervention. The grapes are hand harvested, they undergo a native yeast fermentation and sulfur additions are minimal and judicious if added at all.

The hillside parcel of ‘Les Tours’ lies further South near the Crus of Brouilly & Côte de Brouilly. This is perhaps the most structured wine in his line up and leans into darker fruits and a hint of baking spice.

As with many good things in life there’s not a lot of these wines. Very little is made and even less makes its way to Colorado. This is especially the case with the Les Bulands and Les Tours bottlings so if you’re feeling inspired I encourage you to snag a bottle sooner than later.
